Refund policy
This Refund & Return Policy explains how Hi Auto Shop handles returns, refunds, cancellations, and product issues.
1) Return Window
Eligible items may be returned within 30 days of delivery.
2) Return Eligibility
To qualify for a return, items must be:
- Unused, uninstalled, and in resellable condition
- Returned with original packaging, manuals, hardware, accessories, and included materials
- Accompanied by proof of purchase, such as an order number or receipt
3) Items That May Not Be Returnable
Unless defective on arrival or required by law, the following are generally not eligible for return:
- Gift cards and digital products
- Clearance, closeout, or final sale items
- Installed or used automotive parts
- Electrical components showing installation marks
- Fluids, chemicals, or restricted items once opened, if applicable
- Custom, special-order, or made-to-order products
- Items missing parts, packaging, or accessories
- Products marked non-returnable on the product page
4) Starting a Return
Email help@hiautoshop.us with:
- Order number
- Item(s) you want to return
- Reason for the request
- Photos if the item arrived damaged, defective, or incorrect
If approved, we will provide return instructions and an RMA reference if needed. Please do not send items back without authorization.
5) Return Shipping Costs
- Customer pays return shipping for change-of-mind returns or incorrect items ordered by the customer
- Hi Auto Shop covers reasonable return shipping when the issue is verified as our error, defective on arrival, or transit damage
- Oversized or freight return costs may be reviewed case by case
6) Inspection and Refund Timing
Returned items are inspected after arrival. Inspection usually takes 5–7 business days.
Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method. Banks and payment providers may take an additional 3–7 business days to post the refund.
7) Deductions
Refunds may be reduced if returned items arrive missing parts, packaging, manuals, accessories, or in a condition different from what was approved.
8) Order Cancellations
If you cancel an order before shipment, we refund minus a 5% processing offset for non-recoverable payment processor fees. If the order has already shipped, the standard return process applies.
Special-order or custom-sourced items may not be cancellable once processing has started.
9) Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items
Report damaged, defective, or incorrect items within 7 days of delivery. Keep all packaging until the issue is resolved.
